This month, we’re proud to recognize Branden Centanni as he celebrates 19 years with Raymond and his recent promotion to Exterior Superintendent in our Southern California region. His dedication, leadership, and commitment to excellence have made a lasting impact on our team and the projects we deliver.

One Word Coworkers Would Use to Describe You: Motivator. I strive to put others first, build strong teams, and help every crew member succeed.
Then: When I started at Raymond at 19 years old, I never imagined I’d spend half my life with one company. I figured I’d probably bounce around, work for another contractor, or even end up in a completely different career. Now, at 38, I’m approaching 19 years with Raymond.
Looking back, what surprises me most are the relationships I’ve built and the opportunities I’ve been given to grow. Some of my closest friendships have come through the Raymond family, while others were formed alongside the crews and office teams I’ve worked with over the years. I also never expected my career to grow the way it has or that I’d have the opportunity to step into the role I’m in today. I’m grateful for the opportunities Raymond has given me and proud of the journey that’s brought me here.
Now: Today, my role means leading by example and demonstrating Raymond’s core values every day. It means showing leadership, treating others with respect, earning respect in return, and having the confidence to help guide our teams in the field. A big part of my job is helping our crews make decisions that set them up for success. When our field teams succeed, Raymond succeeds. Being able to support, mentor, and motivate others while contributing to the company’s success is what the role means to me.
Advice for someone starting out: Come to work every day with a positive attitude and give your best effort. Be willing to listen and learn because none of us know everything, especially when we’re just starting out. Stay open to new ideas, remain humble, and never stop learning. Humility is one of the keys to success.
Respect your coworkers, both in the field and in the office, and remember that respect is earned through your actions, not demanded. The way you treat people and the example you set will have a lasting impact on your career.
What does Raymond’s 90th anniversary mean to you? Reaching 90 years is an incredible accomplishment and something the Raymond family should be extremely proud of. I’m honored to be part of this milestone. What stands out to me most isn’t just Raymond’s success in the construction industry, but the values that have made that success possible. It’s rare to find a family-owned company that has achieved this level of success while consistently demonstrating integrity, humility, respect, passion, and genuine care for its employees.
Those values are evident throughout the entire company. Whether you work in the field or in the office, you feel welcomed, valued, and part of something bigger than yourself. To me, those qualities are the foundation of who Raymond is today and the reason we’ve earned our place in the industry. Celebrating 90 years isn’t just about honoring our past, it’s about building on that legacy and looking ahead to an even brighter future. I’m proud to be a part of it.
