Raymond’s Southern California region recently participated in the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) Home Builders Blitz 2023. Home Builders Blitz is an annual event that utilizes professional homebuilder volunteers to build safe and affordable housing for families in need. This year’s objective was the completion of three homes (in just 14 days) in Lancaster.
Raymond helped complete two homes alongside Clark Construction and Turner Construction by providing labor and supervision. Raymond performed drywall, taping, plaster, and the installation of doors/frames and wood trims on one of the homes, and drywall, taping, weather barrier, and the installation of doors/frames and interior wood base on the second home. Thank you to Action Gypsum Supply and Westside Building Material for donating material for the two homes, and to CR Insulation and Dittemore Insulation Contractors for providing the insulation work.
Habitat LA builds and revitalizes homes in partnership with hardworking, low-income families and individuals. The organization, which has completed more than 1,500 homes, aims at improving communities and creating more access to affordable housing.
