In 1985, Raymond expanded from Southern California, opening a permanent office location in Concord, California. Over the years, we have built a strong reputation as a trusted company in the construction industry, as well as an expansive portfolio to include multi-family housing, residential and office high-rises, hotels, historical restoration, education, retail, and more. Today, with our office located in Martinez, Raymond remains strong in the San Francisco Bay Area, with a presence that has broadened to Sacramento and its surrounding communicates.

Vice President & Area Manager

Ray Gilbert is Vice President/Area Manager of Raymond’s Northern California region; responsible for overseeing operations and business relationships with clients in the area. Ray began with Raymond in 2005 as a Project Engineer and quickly moved up to the Project Manager/Estimator position. In 2013, Ray took the responsibility of Director of Project Management for Raymond’s Southern California operations, showcasing a strong ability to lead and think strategically.

Jim Ryberg
Chief Estimator

Jim is responsible for controlling, and providing direction for, all of Raymond’s estimating capabilities and estimating activities in Northern California. Jim started with Raymond in 2012 as a project manager, and prior to taking his role as Chief Estimator, managed Raymond’s Northern California Special Projects division for four years.

Chris Skillman
General Superintendent

Chris Skillman leads Raymond’s Northern California field operations, overseeing the work efforts of all projects. Chris brings over 35 years of construction experience to the General Superintendent position, where he has held various leadership positions such as Project Foremen and Superintendent, as well as Estimator and Project Manager.
